CARLTON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING

HELD ON APRIL 27, 2009


Present: Aanerud, Bodie, and Proulx. Absent: Brenner and Pihlman.

 Proulx by Aanerud to approve the Agenda as amended.

Aanerud by Proulx to approve the Minutes of the April 14, Board Meeting.

 Aanerud by Proulx to proceed with preparation for the sale of certain Tax Forfeited parcels in Holyoke.

 Aanerud by Proulx to approve the March, HS Financial Report.

Proulx by Aanerud to extend the Contract with Parchem, Inc.

Proulx by Aanerud to approve amendments to the current contracts with Interim Health Care and Barnes Care, Inc.

Aanerud by Proulx to approve various Foster Care and Child Care Facilities Activities.

 Proulx by Aanerud to set the Tipping Fees for the Carlton County Transfer Station.

Proulx by Aanerud to approve the appointments of two individuals to the Carlton County Recycling and Solid Waste Advisory Committee.

Aanerud by Proulx that the Board meets on May 26, 2009 regarding the County’s intention to issue a lease for the removal of peat.

Proulx by Aanerud to begin the process for a Class A Land Exchange with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
 Aanerud by Proulx to remove Tract 4 and Tract 8 from Landsale 129.Ê

 Aanerud by Proulx to proceed with plans for the acquisition of Right of Way for the Moorhead Road Project.

 Aanerud by Proulx to approve seven Applications for Reduction in Valuation.
 Proulx by Aanerud to adopt the Carlton County All Hazard Mitigation Plan.

 Aanerud by Proulx to approve Gambling Premise Permit Application for the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association - Quad Rivers Chapter.

Aanerud by Proulx to approve the expenditure listing for March 2009.

 Aanerud by Proulx to set a public hearing to consider an off sale liquor license application for Big Lake Golf Club, Inc.

 Aanerud by Proulx that this meeting be adjourned.

Barnum Kinder-Camp

Barnum school is offering a three day mini-camp for children entering kindergarten this fall. August 3rd - 5th from 9 to 11 a.m. at the elementary school.  Instructors will be Kindergarten teachers.  Pre-registration is necessary.
