There are many things happening this summer in the Cromwell area.
Harvest Fest is having a steak fry on June 19th from 4-7 at the Cromwell Park Pavilion to raise money for the Fall Harvest Festival. The area Boy Scouts from Troop 169 will be bussing tables and selling ice ream cones at the steak fry to help raise money for their troop activities.
The Y.O.T. is having a dance at the Park Pavilion on June 25th at 1-4 p.m. with Jerry’s one-man band playing.
the youth from Bethany Lutheran Church are holding a bread sale at the church on June 28th after the early and late services and they are also having a car wash on July 3rd from 2-7 p.m. to support a Boundary Waters Canoe Trip this summer through Camp Vermillion.
The Luminary Committee is holding a community picnic on July 11th at the Park Pavillion. Please be sure to bring your family for a day of food and fun. Contact Carolyn Krogh or Linda Larson for more info.
Little League baseball is well under way in Cromwell, Wright, Tamarack, McGregor, Jacobson, and Floodwood. Games are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. Come support our youth and watch them play. Concession available at all games. Proceeds help keep the teams in uniforms and gear, and help keep the fields in good working order.
The City of Cromwell would like to thank the Villa Court Partnership for bringing such a wonderful facility to our community. The Cardinal Court Assisted Living Facility is up and running. A beautiful and well staffed facility offering a full range of care needs to its residents. They are taking applications now and have nine or thirty rooms already filled. If anyone has not seen it yet, they should stop in for a full tour; you won’t believe your eyes. A special thanks to Mike and Julie Peterson for all their hard work in building this dream facility.
Another thanks you for the City of Cromwell to the Big Sandy Area Lakes Water Management Project for their support of our community. We have received over $16,000.00 in grants from their group in the last two years for projects in our community. This group is dedicated to keeping our watershed clean and preserved. Tom Johnson, Mayor Huhta, and Scott Warner have worked hand-in-hand keep vehicles from entering the beach and destroying the shoreline and an erosion control project by the new Cardinal Court which includes a 650ft fence around our two wellheads.
