Thought for the week: “Young people today worry about cleaning up the environment, but many don’t give a moments thought to their bedrooms.”

Last Wednesday afternoon Irene Peterson, Evelyn Newman and Kathy Hufford of Mahtowa went visit their Aunt Helen Bollila at the Lighthouse in Barnum and afterwards they went to visit Kelly Jo and Mason Spalding in Kerrick.

Mel Peterson visited at Don and Irene Peterson Sunday morning.

Larry Oswell of St. Cloud visited at last Thursday. Dennis Oswell of Duluth was also there.

Tiny and Anna Oswell visited at Helen Hammitt Sunday.

Emil and Linda Lain and granddaughter, Madlyn, Julie and Gracie of Kettle River were Sunday dinner guests at Ferdie and Shirley Langhorst.

Gary and Vivian Van Der Werff of Hudson, Wisconsin called at Betty Carlson last Thursday afternoon.

Several people were still going to graduation open house this past weekend.

Kay Finifrock had surgery Monday morning in Cloquet. We wish you a speedy recovery.

I’m sending in last weeks and this weeks news together.

Kay Finifrock came home from the hospital Saturday. She will spending sometime recuperating at home. Drop her a card. It will help her to pass the time away.

Monday callers at Kay Finifrock were Joyce Salheim, Ed and Alyce Henninger, Sonny Paulson and Evelyn Newman.

Father’s Day visitors at Willis and Kay Finifrock were Monte Finifrock of St. Cloud, Nicole Finifrock and Gabryella of Moose Lake and Jon and Ann Finifrock, Nathan and Nicholas.

Father’s Day guests at Don and Irene Peterson were Bill and Kelly Jo Spalding and Mason of Kerrick.

Ed and Alyce Henninger along with many other relatives attended the Henninger Camp ground Sunday.

Sidney and Loritta Dahlin of Cambridge spent Monday at Tiny and Anna Oswell. Sunday evening Mike Adelsgruber and Janet Langhorst of Kettle River brought pizza too Ferdie Langhorst and had supper with them.

Callers at Ferdie Langhorst during the week were, Emil and Linda Laine of Kettle River, Crystal Luomanen and Angel Finifrock and Jon and Sara Langhorst and children.

Last Thursday Angel Finifrock took Shirley Langhorst up to the Cloquet hospital to see Marion Finifrock who had a stroke. Since then she has been moved to the Sunyside Nursing home. Please keep her in your prayers.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Minnesota sponsors free support groups for families who have a relative with a mental illness.  A family support group meets in Cloquet at 6:00 p.m., on the third Friday of the month, at the Outreach Center, 24 10th St..  For information, call Kevin or Carol at 218-384-9956.
