Clifford “Tiny” Paulson, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord at his home on Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Clifford (or “Tiny” as he was called), was born on August 30, 1937 in Barnum to Russell and Mildred Paulson.Cliff resided in Moose Lake, Minnesota and graduated from Moose Lake High School in 1955. He attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. While attending college, Cliff met Charlotte Petry. Cliff and Charlotte were united in marriage on September 6, 1958 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, Minnesota. They resided in Moorhead while Cliff finished college. Cliff graduated from Concordia College in May of 1959 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in education. After graduating from college, they returned to Moose Lake, Minnesota for the summer. Then he accepted his first teaching position at Augustana Academy in Canton, South Dakota. After one year he accepted another teaching position at Hitterdal, Minnesota. He taught two years before accepting a position at Twin Valley, Minnesota. He taught two years before accepting a teaching position at Brooten, Minnesota. He taught four years before accepting a position at Cokato, Minnesota. Cliff finished out the remainder of his teaching career in the Dassel/Cokato school district. Cliff retired after thirty-five years of teaching science, biology, drivers training and motorcycle training. He also coached football and wrestling throughout his career. Besides teaching, Cliff was involved in Cokato Ambulance, Cokato Lions and Boy Scouts. Cliff’s hobbies included, hunting, fishing, woodworking and planting pine trees. Upon his retirement Cliff and Charlotte moved to Moose Lake, Minnesota where they built their retirement log home. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Mildred Paulson. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, two sons Cliff “Butch” Paulson, (Patty) Cokato, Minnesota, Chris R. Paulson (Sandy Thull) Moose Lake, Minnesota, and one daughter, Cathleen M Jones, (Dale) Phnom Penh, Cambodia; three brothers, Bud Paulson, (Beverly) Moose Lake, Minnesota, Gordon Paulson, Barnum, Minnesota and Rodney Paulson (Marie), Moose Lake, Minnesota; three sisters, Isabelle Walker, (Tom) Barnum, Minnesota, Deloris Johnson, Exeland, Wisconsin, Betty Larson, Kettle River, Minnesota; seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. VISITATION: 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009, in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake, and continue from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, July 9, 2009, in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake.
