Annual Session

Monday – July 7, 2009 5:00 p.m.


The Carlton County Board of Commissioners met this 7th day of July, 2009, as the governing body of the Unorganized Townships of Clear Creek, Corona, Progress, Red Clover, and Sawyer.  The meeting was held at the Carlton County Courthouse Boardroom.

Chairperson Pihlman called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m.

Members present: Bodie, Brenner, Proulx and Pihlman.  Absent: Aanerud.

Auditor/Treasurer Gassert reported on the proposed 2010 levies for fire protection, ambulance services, and cemetery operations.

Brian and Donna House, Sawyer Township, was present to seek information on the Lind/Olson. Their issues were referred to the County Engineer for a recommendation to come back to the County Board.

County Engineer Olson report on the various road and bridge work that was done, and anticipated to be done in the various unorganized township.

County Engineer Olson indicated that a portion of County Road 103 may be turned back to Clear Creek Township to facilitate the ability to expeditiously replace a failing bridge.

No correspondence was received from interested parties regarding the unorganized townships. All matters related to the budgets and levies of the unorganized townships will be referred to the County Board for consideration.

Motion by Proulx, seconded by Bodie, and carried by all yea votes that this meeting be adjourned.
