The Board of Directors of Lakes and Pines Community Action Council, Inc. will be meeting on
Thursday, October 1,2009 beginning at 7:00 p.m. to conduct its 45th Annual Meeting. The
Annual Meeting will be held at the Grand Event Center in Mora (RSVPs required).
Lakes and Pines CAC has served the seven-county area of Aitkin, Carlton, Chisago, Isanti,
Kanabec, Mille Lacs and Pine counties over 44 years with anti-poverty programs including Head
Start, Fuel Assistance, Weatherization and emergency food and shelter programs. loin Lakes &
Pines on October 151 at 7 p.m. for their Annual Meeting in Mora. “Partnering to end Poverty”

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Minnesota sponsors free support groups for families who have a relative with a mental illness. A family support group meets in Cloquet at 6:00 p.m., on the third Friday of the month, at the Outreach Center, 24 10th St.. For information, call Kevin or Carol at 218-384-9956.
