Letter to the Editor;

I didn’t have a dog in the basketball coach tussle and it’s unfortunate these things happen, but perhaps it will help reinforce the old adage: Players play, Coaches coach and Parents support.

I did see one positive in the resolution of this issue, the school board and administration when faced with a controversial issue showed some spunk. Having done it once, I expect you will continue to stand up when faced with other controvertial issues. With Christmas fast approaching the issue of a Christmas program in the school will once again come before you. Show some leadership and put on a Christmas program School District 97 can be proud of. Who knows, it may even bring you a few votes in the next referendum.

Cloquet Support Group
for Families
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Minnesota sponsors free support groups for families who have a relative with a mental illness. A family support group meets in Cloquet at 6:00 p.m., on the third Friday of the month, at the Outreach Center, 24 10th St.. For information, call Kevin or Carol at 218-384-9956.
