KETTLE RIVER AMERICAN LEGION #360 FIREARMS DRAWING, 1st prize: Savage 10GxP3 Combo 7mm or $500.00 cash; 2nd prize: Savage 17 HMR with scope or $250.00. Winner does not need to be present for main drawing, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 9:30 P M AT Tower Tap. Main door prize $50 and other door prizes.

Must be present for door prizes. Tickets are available at Tower Tap, Korpi’s or from Legion members.

Quilting at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church meets every Wednesday from 9 am – 12 noon. Everyone is welcome to join us in this activity.

The 1st Hunters breakfast at the West Side Church will be held on November 14 from 5 am to noon. We will be serving biscuits and gravy, Scrambled eggs, Sausage links, and Hash browns. Suggested donation of $5.00 and $1:00 to fill your thermos. All proceeds to go to Rivers Edge Support Center.

The Breakfast will be held at West Side Church on Hwy 27 at the corner of Walczak Rd.

We also will be drawing our Raffle at noon. You can purchase your ticket that day. Need not be present to win. 1st prize is a Gas BBQ Grill, 2nd prize is a  $75.00 gift basket from Outdoor Advantage in Cloquet, and 3rd prize is a $25.00 Gift Certificate from Alco in Moose Lake.

The Kettle River American Legion Halloween Party found many children and their parents attending. Thanks to all those parents who brought their children and to those who helped with the difficult task of judging the winners.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Minnesota sponsors free support groups for families who have a relative with a mental illness.  A family support group meets in Cloquet at 6:00 p.m., on the third Friday of the month, at the Outreach Center, 24 10th St..  For information, call Kevin or Carol at 218-384-9956.
