Grand Marais, MN… The North House Folk School offers instruction in all sorts of traditional crafts and skills. Hand-crafted yarns fascinate weavers, artists and clothes connoisseurs alike. Join a class in Grand Marais for a lesson in wool and friendship; you’ll see that spinning your own yarn is a craft that takes great skill!

Duluth, MN…Travel around the world through Art! That’s exactly what young students did at Duluth Art Institute summer camps. Designed to inspire cultural curiosity along with creativity, grade school kids attended immersive, day art camp. Each day they focused on different cultures and created everything from plaster paper Easter Island statues and Aborigine rain sticks to ceramic Aztec calendars and Mesa Verde cliff dwelling dioramas. You’ll enjoy their art and their enthusiasm!

Superior, WI…Angie Haworth paints with thread, fabric beads and more. Her work defies labeling and leaves ample space for creative improvisation as she weaves needle and thread and fabric into remarkable quilts and wall hangings. Each piece reflects her passion for life—its colors and curves. Step into her home studio in Superior, for real inspiration from a really gifted woman.
