Christopher Steven Ash has been living on Hwy 61 in the Esko/Thomson Township area since September of 2008. There was a community notification meeting at that time. Christopher Ash is now moving to the Central Hall Road in Sawyer Township. He has a history of an incident engaging in sexual contact with an adult female, using threats and physical force to gain compliance.

A Community Notification Meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. at the Carlton County Transportation Building at 1630 County Road 61, Carlton, MN. Carlton County Law Enforcement and Probation representatives will be available to provide information on this offender and answer questions.

RISK LEVEL THREE    In addition to level two notification (schools and daycares as well as establishments and organizations that primarily serve individuals likely to be victimized by the offender), law enforcement may notify other members of the community whom the offender is likely to encounter.

This offender is not wanted by the police at this time and has served the sentence imposed on him by the court. This notification is not intended to increase fear in the community. Law enforcement believes that an informed public is a safer public.

Offender engaged in sexual contact with victim (adult female). Contact included penetration. Offender used threats and physical force to gain compliance. Offender was not previously known to the victim.
