Bombers thump CardinalsThe Barnum Bomber thumped the Cromwell Cardinals by a score of 64-27 on Mon., Dec. 14. Barnum led 32-10 at the break and had two players reach double figures while allowing no Cardinal to hit the double digits. Barnum was led by Nick White’s 15 points, including two three-pointers. Josh Hogan had a dozen points. Taylor Carlson added nine points. Luke Charberg scored seven points and Jacob Naslund had six points. Andy Youngren had four points. Danny Warpula hit a three-pointer and Justin Newman also had three points. Bobby Minkkinen and Hector Chavez each added two points for the undefeated Bombers. Jordan Smith, with three three-pointers, paced the Cardinals with nine points. Rebels sink Silver BayThe Moose Lake-Willow River boys sunk the Silver Bay Mariners by a big margin on Fri., Dec. 18, winning the away game by a score of 68-38. The Rebels shot to a 42-15 lead at intermission. The Rebels, with three players in double figures and hit four three-pointers, while allowing no three-pointers and only two in double figures for the Mariners. Lucas Probst, Trevor Nummela and Rudy Kechtum had 13, 11 and 10 points, respectively for ML-WR. Ketchum hit two threes and Nummela nailed one long one. Ryan Adamczak added eight points. Taylor Mattison and Caleb Koecher each scored five points. Austin Jacobson, with the Rebels other three-pointer, had five points. Nick Tokar also had five points. Jeff Hanson and Holden Olson rounded out the Rebels scoring with three and two points, respectively. Luke Thun and Henry Mitchell each had 14 points for the Mariners. Barnum drops EaglesThe Bombers traveled to East Central on Fri., Dec. 18 and dropped the Eagles by a score of 56-46. No details of the game were posted as the Bombers improved to 5-0.
