Dear Editor; After my return from South Dakota and receiving my MN Drivers license again, I am reminded of MN traffic laws. As I have drove around Moose Lake I have noticed vehicles parking well into the yellow painted areas or neutral zone, which brings me to my point, its a minor violation. While I live in Minneapolis, I saw vehicles, which did the same thing, and they were both ticketed and towed. I understand trips into businesses could be quick, however, we still need to be held accountable for where we park The violation could result in something minor or turn into something major. I recall one incident in Minneapolis where a car was parked within the neutral zone and it was ticketed and towed for this same violation. The other day I was driving near downtown and I was almost hit by another car due to this same violation. The other driver could not see me until I was going through the intersection because a car was parked in the neutral zone. I ask of citizens and visitors of Moose Lake to take some extra time and not park in the neutral zone. My second concern is drivers not adhering to traffic signs regardless of the road conditions. I am not to far from the school and I have seen numerous cars not stop nor do they slow down for the signs on 5th Street and Birch Ave. Its not only students driving to school; its also adult drivers. I respectfully request drivers take some time and adhere to rules of driving. We are all in this together. Respectfully, John Peura
