Blessings from Realms of Glory

Dear Editor,

On Sunday afternoon, December 6, 2009, area musicians and music lovers filled Holy Angels Catholic Church to Standing Room Only for the 11th Realms of Glory Community Holiday Concert!

In spite of cold weather and a sometimes dark economy, friends and neighbors gathered to share the hope, light and magic of the season and to give to those who face these days with struggles of their own. A carload of new toys and gifts was delivered to the Moose Lake Area Food Shelf for their Christmas baskets, and nearly $300 was collected so the Moose Lake Blue and Gold Star Mothers could send packages to our troops.

The support we feel from the community—whether by performing, attending or giving to these special needs—is the best gift of all. Our thanks to all who made it possible.

Barnum Kinder-Camp

Barnum school is offering a three day mini-camp for children entering kindergarten this fall. August 3rd - 5th from 9 to 11 a.m. at the elementary school. Instructors will be Kindergarten teachers. Pre-registration is necessary. Mini-camp is free of charge and great way for your child to get familiar with the new surroundings.
